THE COLLEGE DAY
Administrative offices and the library are open from 8:30
a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from
8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.on Saturday.
The hours for libraries and learning centers are posted at the start of each
semester.
Online courses are offered where students can log onto courses at any time.
CLASS SCHEDULES
Monroe College offers classes from early morning to late evening, and online,
Monday through Friday, plus Saturday (and on Sunday
at the Bronx campus). Some classes meet once each
week. Others have two or more weekly sessions.
The “Flex” schedule enables students to select
the classes that best meet their needs. Classes
meet on Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30
p.m. as well as on Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to
5:20 p.m. and on Sunday (Bronx only) from 8:45
a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
STUDENT SCHEDULES/COURSE LOAD
Students must enroll for a minimum of 12-credit hours to be considered full-time.
Students may register for up to 18-credits at
no extra cost upon approval from their academic
advisor. Students may petition the designated
academic official to register for more than 18-credits
(additional tuition will be charged).
NYS IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT
New York State law requires all college students to be immunized against measles,
mumps and rubella. The law applies to all students
born on or after January 1, 1957. Students will
have to show proof of immunity to:
Measles — Two doses of live measles vaccine administered after two months of age, physician documentation of measles disease, or
a blood test showing immunity.
Mumps — One dose of live mumps vaccine administered after 12 months of age, physician documentation of mumps disease, or a
blood test showing immunity.
Rubella — One dose of live rubella vaccine administered after 12 months of age or a blood
test showing immunity.
Meningococcal Meningitis— In addition, New York State Law requires all students (irrespective of age)
to provide a record of meningococcal meningitis
immunization within the past ten years OR an acknowledgement of meningococcal disease
risks and refusal of meningococcal meningitis immunization signed by the student or student’s parent or guardian.
STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS LAW MAY BE RESTRICTED FROM ATTENDING
CLASSES UNTIL FULL COMPLIANCE IS ACHIEVED.
