艺术文化系
艺术文化系成立于2002年，其前身是社科部，现有8个教研室，有专职教师38人，教授1人，副教授12人。有2人获得曾宪梓教育基金奖，2人获省级优秀教师称号。在国家级、省级出版社出版专著、论文集多种，主编或合编教材及教学参考书30余部，在国家级、省级学术刊物发表论文数百篇，多人多次获国家级、省级、校级科研成果奖。
艺术文化系现在我院音乐学、美术学、表演等本科专业内设置艺术管理与艺术经济人专业方向。
艺术文化系现在拥有一个省级重点学科-艺术学，在"十五"规划中，艺术学将成为我院新的硕士研究生招生专业。该系的艺术学教学与研究，经过数十年的发展，积累了相当丰富的教学经验和科研成果，出版学术专著多部。艺术学教师队伍健全，年龄结构合理，形成了梯队。重点学科艺术学下设三个研究方向，分别是：艺术基础理论研究方向，学科带头人孙委科教授兼该方向的学术带头人；中外艺术史与门类美学方向，学术带头人是王衡东副教授；艺术教育研究方向，学术带头人是蒋永青教授。

& Culture Department
The Art & Culture Department
( former Humanities Department ) was established in 2002,involving
8 teaching and research teams. One of the 38 full-time teachers
is a professor and 12 are associate professors.Two of the
teachers won Zeng Xianzi Education Foundation Awards,and two
won the title of excellent teachers at the province level.
A great many of books on special subjects,collections of papers,textbooks
and 30 reference books have been published.In addition,several
hundred theses are carried in scholarly publications at the
state or province level.Many of the faculty members have won
large numbers of awards for their achievements in research
work.
Some music,visual art,dance,or drama students are trained
in the Art & Culture Department as art agents or impresarios.
The Art & Culture Department has a province - level
key descipline - Art Studies.In the 10th Five-Year plan ,Yunnan
Arts University will confer masters degrees in the study of
art.Over the past decades the teachers of the discipline Art
Studies have accumulated rich experience in teaching and gained
great achievement in researching.The strong staff consists
of faculty members whose proportion in age is reasonable,thus
keeping the discippline going.the key discipline the study
of art has three research concentrations:the basic theory
of art,led by prof,Sun Weike;history of art,led by Associate
- prof,Wang Weidong ; and art education,led by Prof,Jiang
Yongqing.
