术 学 院
美术学院设中国画、油画、版画、雕塑、美术学（师范教育）五个系、摄影教研室、成人教育（全日制专科升本科、函授专科、函授专科升本科）部。教授素描、色彩、专业技法、制作实践、艺术设计、美术动画、艺术摄影、艺术理论等多门课程。面向省内外招生，培养能在文化艺术领域从事美术教学、艺术创作、研究及德智体全面发展的高级专门人才。
美术学院重视教学投入，在改革开放的新形势下不断提高教学质量，促进人才的培养，在校学生通过积极参与国内外大型美术展览与艺术交流活动，表现出良好的专业学习水平，曾分别摘取过金、银、铜及优秀奖，显了雄厚的教学实力。毕业生中的大多数已经成为全省各地美术教育和创作的骨干力量。
美术学院在云南省教委的扶持下，经过十余年的努力，建设有油画专业、版画专业两个省级重点学科。教学实验场地已成规模，学术成果丰硕，并且带动其它学科进一步的发展，促进了高质量人才的培养。
美术学院现有教师40人，其中，高级职称有17人、中级职称者11人、平均年龄38岁，同时，长年聘请在创作、教学与研究方面具有社会影响的10余名专家担任客座教师。美术学院拥有一支在教学、科研方面成果突出、受到广泛赞誉的教师队伍，他们对全省的美术教育，在开拓教学思路，活跃艺术思维，开展学术交流等活动中起着重要的作用。

Arts College
The Visual Arts College comprises
Departments of Chinese Painting,Oil Painting,Graphic Art,Sculpture,Visual
Arts Education,Photography Teaching Team,and Aduit Education(full-time
3- year for BA degrees,correspondence 3- year non - degree,and
correspondence 3- year for BA degrees).Students take such
courses as drawing ,painting,techniques,creative practice,art
design,animation,photography,art theory,etc.The College accepts
students from Yunnan as well as other provinces.Its goal is
to help students to develop in an all-round way-morally,intellectually
and physically so that the students become highly qualified
in doing art,teaching ,research and other artistic professions.
The Visual Arts College always stresses the investment in
teaching.In the new situation of China,s reform and opening-up,the
staff has been improving the teaching and promoting the students,development.The
students are very keen on participating in big art exhibitions
and artistic interchanges held in China and foreign countries.
They show their impressive achievements in art study.The
students,gold,silver and buonze medals are the proof of the
College,s good teaching.Most of the students have now become
the backbone of the art education and creation in different
parts of China.
Thanks to the support of the Provincial Education Corncil
and after ten years,of effort,the Visual Arts College has
established two province -level key disciplines:oil painting
and graphic art.The number of studios for teaching and experiment
is quite big,which has spurred other disciplines on to further
development and accelerated the training of highly qualified
personnel.
The number of faculty members is 40,including 27 professors
and associate professors,and 11 lecturers.The average age
is 38.In addition,every year the College invites 10 visiting
teachers who are influential experts in artistic creation,teaching
and research.This energetic and widely praised staff has achieved
great successes in teaching and research.The faculty members
are playing an important role in Yunnan,s art education,opening
up teaching ideas , activating artistic thinking and pushing
forward artistic interchange.
