舞 蹈 系
舞蹈系始建于1961年，自1985年起招收舞蹈大专学生。开设有民族舞蹈表演、民族舞蹈教育、民族舞蹈编导三个专业，拥有良好的硬件设备，有良好的电化教学设备和充足的民族服装、道具等。拥有一支热爱民族舞蹈事业的师资队伍，现有教职工25人，其中教授1人，副教授10人。
舞蹈系为云南培养了大量的少数民族舞蹈尖子人才，这批学生现在是我省舞蹈界的骨干力量。该系师生近年来多次参加国内外各种学术交流和演出活动，曾代表国家和省市出访过美国、日本、德国、新加坡、马来西亚、英国等国家，并参加了第四界世界妇女代表大会欢迎仪式演出，参加了中央电视台98年春节联欢晚会，元宵晚会等演出，享有广泛声誉。
在重视云南少数民族舞蹈的发掘和研究方面，该系采取对云南26个民族舞蹈的分步骤逐个研究的方案，现已完成了《傣族舞蹈教材》、《云南花灯舞蹈教材》、《舞蹈解剖与保健》的调查、整理、创编工作。该系师生创作、编导、演出的大型舞蹈诗《他从画中来》、《勐巴娜西》、《乌蒙之路》、《蓝月亮》、《母亲河》、花灯舞剧《白龙泉》、历史舞剧《白石江》、现代舞晚会《2000-为人类环境有感而无》、大型舞蹈晚会《山、水、天、地、情》等，上述剧目多次获国家级和省级奖。

Department
The Dance Department was set
up in 1961. It has accepted students of short 2-to 3-year
higher education since 1985.It has three concentrations:Chinese
and folk dance performance,Chinese dance education,and Chinese
dance performance,Chinese dance education,and Chinese dance
choreography.The good equipment and facilities involve five
spacious dance studios,a certain number of audio-visual aids,andethnic
costumes and stage properties.The faculty is made up of 25
teachers.One of then is a professor and 10 are associate professors.
Over the past years,the Dance Department has trained about
500 students of Chinese traditional dance performance,dance
education,and choreography.A large number of top ethnic dancers
come from this department,and they are now the backbone of
Yunnan's dance circle.For many years the faculty members have
been participating in numerous dance conventions and conferences.Representin
China,Yunnan Province or the City of Kunming,the dance teachers
have visited the USA,Japan,
Germany,Singapore,Malaysia,Britain,and other countries.They
danced at the magnificent opening ceremony of the Fourth World
Women Conference.In addition,the dance teachers and students
were invited to China Central TV to dance at 98'China New
Year Gala Night,and the 98'Lantern Festival Gala,They were
widely praised.
As to the discovery and research work concerning Yunnan's
26 minority groups'dances,the Department makes a study of
various topics one by one.Having comleted the field worl,collating,writing
and compiling,they produced such books as The Dai People's
Dance (textbook),Yunnan Huadeng Dance (textbook),Dance Anatomy
and Health Care,Dance Concepts,and Dance Appreciation and
Analysis.The Dance Department has choreographed and staged
large-scale dance poems"she Comes from Pictures","Mengbanaxi"
,"The Mother River";the dance drama about history"The
Baishi River","The White Dragon Spring"(dance
drama),and a modern dance evening "2000-a Aance Inspired
by the Environment",and a large-scale dance evening "Mountains,Water,Heaven,Land,Emotion",The
above repertory has won many national and provincial awards
for their choreographic work on different ethnic dances.
