戏 剧 系
戏剧系始建于1960年，主要专业有戏剧影视文学本科、戏剧影视表演本科、戏剧影视导演本科、时装设计与表演专科、节目主持与播音（高等职业培训）以及戏剧学专科升本科（函援）等，是我国西南地区唯一的面向全国招生，培养戏剧影视全面人才并能授予学士学位的教学单位。戏剧系现有教师24人，其中有教授6人，副教授3人。
"戏剧戏曲学"于2001年被云南省政府批准为正式挂牌的省级重点学科。学科带头人是吴衡民（吴戈）教授。王胜华教授是该学科"中国少数民族戏剧"研究方向的学术带头人，塞河沿教授是该学科"戏剧美学"
研究方向的学术带头人。
戏剧系教师近年撰写并出版了二十部学术著作和教材，获省级以上奖劢三十余次，发表在省级以上刊物的学术论文三百余篇，创作影视剧作品三百部集。现已完成国家级、省级项目四个，正在进行的有省级以上立项的"戏剧人类学"、"先秦表演艺术史料汇笺"、"云南民族民间仪式戏剧"、"云南现代画剧运动史"、"中美现代戏剧交流史"等科研项目。
戏剧系主要培养具备戏剧、影视文学历史理论基础及戏剧创作、导演、表演能力，适宜在戏剧院围、影视播音制作单位、报刊编辑出版以及文化教育等部门从事研究、创作、表演、设计、节目主持、播音、节目制作的各类艺术人才。

Department
The Drama Department was established
in1960.The Drama Department has an all-round training program
for students.The 4-year students for BA degrees major in script
writing,acting,or directing.For the short 2-to 3-year non-degree
students,the Department has the programs:fashion design and
show,compering,and broadcasting(advanced professional training),as
well as a correspondence program of dramatics for the 2-to
3-year students who are to become 4-year undergraduates and
get BA degrees.The Drama Department is the only department
in southwestern China that is ratified to admit students from
all parts of China and confer BA degrees in drama.The 12 drama
teachers include 6 professors and 3 associate professors.
The dramatics was listed as one of Yunnan's key disciplines
after the ratification of the provincial government in2001.Prof.Wu
Weimin heads the discipline team,with Prof.Wang Shenghua focusing
on Chinese ethnic drama and Prof,Jian Heyan on drama aesthetics.
In recent years,the drama faculty members have published
20 scholarly books and textbooks,and got over 30 awards at
the province level.300theses were published in province-run
or state-run publications,as well as 300 plays and scripts.Four
research programs assigned by the state and the provincial
overnments have been completed.Three other research programs
are yet to obtain the ratification from the provincial government.They
are "drama anthropology","collection of historical
writings on the stage performance in the pre-Qin days (i.e.
before221BC)",and"Yunnan ethnic and fold ritual
dramas".
The Department's major tasks are to help students to gain
the ability of script writing,directing and acting with a
profound knowledge about dramatic literature,history and theory.The
students are expected to become playwrights,actors(actresses),designers,editors,comperes,TV
or radio broadcasters and school teachers.
