艺术设计学院
艺术设计学院的前身是工艺美术系，1985年筹建，1986年招生，2002年发展成为一个朝气蓬勃的二级学院。设有艺术设计（含装璜艺术设计方向、环境艺术设计方向、服饰艺术设计方向、电脑美术设计方向、民间工艺于旅游商品设计方向、装饰艺术方向）、动画、摄影等本科专业和广告艺术设计高职专科专业（含广告艺术设计方向、广告摄影专业方向、广告包装专业方向）。该学院有着良好的教学环境和现代化的教学设施，现有计算机室4间，计算机百余以及相关设备，雕塑、陶艺、服装和摄影实验室各一间。施资力量雄厚，年龄结构合理，现有专业教师27名，其中教授2名、副教授9名、设计师10名。该学院教师出版专辑、专著多部，发表论文多篇，大量美术、设计作品参展中标，并获得全国、省级各类获项。
艺术设计学院师生在搞好教学的同时，积极开展研究、创作、设计和社会实践活动，大量设计成果转化为社会经济项目，为云南经济发展与旅游事业作出了贡献。
艺术设计结合学科特点，在现在发展基础上继续走理论与实践结合、科研与发展结合的道路，致力于教学内容和课程体系的改革，在提高教学质量的同时，加大教学基础设施建设的投入，努力开拓本、专科等多层次教育，实现规模化办学的目标。同时积极发挥专业优势，面向社会，为艺术设计教育事业添砖加瓦。
Art
Design College
The Art Design College ( former
Arts and Crafts Department ) was founded in 1985 and started
to admit students in 1986.In 2002 it has developed in to a
vigorous college with three concentrations for four-year undergraduates:art
design (concentrating on ornament,environment,clothing,compute
art,folk arts and crafts,commodities design for tourists,or
decoration),animation,and photography.Besides,the College
has one concentration for advanced professional training focusing
on advertisement packaging.The College has good teaching conditions
and modern teaching equipment.Now it has four
computer rooms , over 100 computers and correlated equipment.In
addition,the College has a sculpture studio,a clothing studio,a
pottery art studio,and a photography studio.
The strong staff consists of faculty members whose proportion
in age is reasonable.Of the 27 full-time teachers,2 are professors,9
associate professors,and 10 lecturers.The faculty members
of the College have published albums of paintings,books on
special topics and theses.Large numbers of teachers'paintings
and works of design have won many awards at different levels
or won the bid.
While trying to teach and learn well,the staff and the students
of the Art Design College have been actively engaged in creation,design
and social practice.A great many of their designs have been
turned into social economic projects,helping push forward
Yunnan's tourism and economic development.
The Art Design College makes use of its advantages in its
disciplines to further combine theory with practice,and research
with development.It will go on with its great efforts to reform
its program and course systems,further improve teaching quality,and
invest more in equipment and facilities.It is trying to start
the education system at different levels,which trains 4-year
undergraduates as well as 3-year students so that the College
runs on a large scale.Furthermore,the department is giving
full play to its advantages in the disciplines to serve the
society and help develop the nation's education of art design.
