    迪拜是一座位于波斯湾沿岸的城市，而这家滑雪场则建造于该市所属的沙漠地带内，其占地面积超过了3000平方米，场内安装的索道将会把游客送到拥有不同高度和倾斜角度的5条雪道的顶端。这家使用人造雪的室内游乐场其实也是新近开业的一家综合商业设施的一部分，该商场在对外宣传时声称自己是目前世界上最大的购物中心。

    Tourists tanning in the United Arab Emirates will also be able to ski and snowboard as if in the Alps when a huge indoor ski resort opens in December.

    "You see jungle forests in the UK, sandy beaches in Paris, tigers in Central Park, New York. Why not snow in Dubai?" Francois de Montaudouin of Ski Dubai told reporters on Tuesday.

    The park, sprawling over 3,000 square metres (32,290 sq ft) of desert land in the Gulf city of Dubai, will include ski-lifts to take guests to five slopes of varying height and steepness.

    The resort with artificial snow will form part of a recently opened shopping complex, billed as the world's largest mall.

    The ambitious city is building the world's tallest tower, an underwater hotel and life-size replicas of famed buildings like the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramid of Giza.
