中国建筑工业出版社是建设部直属的中央一级专业科技出版社，成立于1954年6月。50年来，她一直肩负着整理、保护、弘扬中华民族优秀的建筑文化，促进中国建筑业科技进步，宣传中国建设成就的历史使命，为我国广大建设工作者奉献了大量优秀的建筑精品图书。是中宣部、新闻出版署表彰的全国第一批“优秀图书出版单位”之一；连续三年荣获“讲信誉、重服务”出版单位称号；全国出版社十三家大社名社之一。

　　中国建筑工业出版社拥有一支主要由编审、副编审，以及具有硕士、博士学位的编辑所组成的高素质编辑队伍，并建立了一个实力较强的发行网络，以“团结、敬业、诚信、创新”为社风，坚持整体策划、整体营销，为建设事业提供全方位的知识服务。

　　中国建筑工业出版社主要出版工程建设、城市建设、村镇建设、各类建筑技术、经营管理等方面的工具书、应用图书、理论图书、艺术画册、普及图书、辞书年鉴、专业教材、培训读物、标准规范，以及电子读物。专业包括：建筑设计、建筑理论与历史（建筑艺术）、城镇规划与设计、园林景观、室内设计、装饰装修、建筑结构、建筑施工、岩土工程、建筑电气、智能建筑、建筑设备、建筑材料、给水排水、环境工程、暖通空调、道路桥梁、建筑经济与管理、房地产业（开发与管理）、计算机应用、工业设计、艺术、旅游等等。年出版新书约800种，年重印图书约1200种。建工社还积极开拓国际图书市场，先后同美、英、法、德、意、澳、日等许多国家，以及港、台地区的近50家出版社建立了密切的合作关系，引进、推出了大量的高质量建筑图书，并荣获“全国版权贸易先进单位”荣誉称号。建工社在北京开设了中国建筑书店，同时在全国各地建立了60多个代理站和600多个连锁店、点。

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF CHINA ARCHITECTURE & BUILDING PRESS

　　Founded in June 1954, China Architecture & Building Press (CABP) is a specialized technical press in China directly subordinate to the Ministry of Construction. Being committed to the documentation, conservation and enhancement of the splendid Chinese culture in architecture, to the promotion of scientific and technological advance of the Chinese construction industry, and to the publicity of construction achievements in China, CABP has, in the past 50 years, presented the Chinese workers in the fields of architecture and construction with a great number of excellent books. CABP is the first batch of “Excellent Book Publishers” recognized by the Press and Publication Administration; It has won for 3 years running the title of “Trustworthy and Quality Service Publisher”; and it is one of the first 13 large and famous publishers across the country.

　　With the motto of Unity, Diligence, Trustworthy and Innovation, CABP has a high caliber editorial team of professional editors with master and doctor degrees, and owns a strong distribution network ,which upholds overall planning and distribution and provides all kinds of intellectual services to the cause of architecture and construction.

　　The scope of CABP’s publications covers construction engineering, urban construction, village & town construction, building techniques, reference books on operation and management, applied and academic books, art albums, books for scientific popularization, dictionaries and yearbooks, textbooks and training materials, standards and norms, as well as publications in digital forms. The subjects include architectural design, architectural theory and history, the design and plan of city and town, garden and landscape, interior design, furnishing and decoration, building structure, construction, geo-engineering, building electrical works, intelligent building, construction equipment, building materials, water supply and drainage, environmental engineering, heating/ventilation and air conditioning, roads and bridges, building economics and management, real estate, computer applications, industrial design, art and tourism and etc. Each year about 800 titles of books are turned out, and 1,200 titles of books are reprinted. In developing the international book market, CABP has been maintaining a close cooperative relations with nearly 50 publishers or presses in U.S.A, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, and in the regions of Hong Kong and Macao, bringing in and pushing out a great deal of high quality books on architecture, and wining the honor of National Advanced Unit for Copyright Trade. CABP runs China Bookstore of Architecture and operates the distribution with over 60 fixed agent organs and more than 600 chain shops.
