Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed his house has been damaged by vandals for the third time since he took over as England manager.
Police are investigating the incident in which a brick was thrown through a window at Eriksson's house near Regent's Park, north-west London, on Monday.
The England coach last night refused to blame disgruntled England fans, upset at recent lacklustre performances.
Speaking before today's World Cup qualifier match against Austria, he said: "It's correct that I had some damage to my house. That's the third time it has happened, although the other two times were some time ago."
The Swede, who faced severe criticism following England's defeat by Northern Ireland last month, added: "I don't think it has anything to do with England fans, absolutely not. The reaction of the England fans when I travel around the country to see games is, 'Come on' and 'Don't listen to the (critics)'."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "We can confirm we were called at 12.30pm on October 3 to reports of criminal damage at an address in Park Village East, NW1.
"It would appear an item was thrown through the front window."
The spokesman said inquiries into the incident were continuing but no arrests had been made.
